ORANGE TRAIL Starting at the east entrance, this trail follows the Suwannee Canal for ten miles before reaching Canal Run Shelter. Past the shelter the trail narrows and winds its way to Billys Island, 5 miles down the trail. Leaving Billys Island, follow Billys Lake 2 miles to Stephen Foster.
RED TRAIL Leaving Kingfisher Landing, the trail travels through open prairies and small lakes for 12 long miles before reaching Maul Hammock. From Maul Hammock to Dinner Pond open prairies surround the trail. After Dinner Pond, the trail narrows, often canopied by bushes and moss covered cypress trees. This gives way to a wider river channel and the beginning of Big Water. Big Water Overnight Shelter is a few more miles, which makes 11 miles from Maul Hammock to Big Water Shelter. For the next 9 miles the trail follows the channel through beautiful lakes and large cypress trees before reaching Stephen Foster.
GREEN TRAIL From Kingfisher, the trail follows an old peat mining channel for a few miles, then open prairies for a total of 8 miles before reaching Bluff Lake. For the next nine miles the trail follows a very narrow channel as it passes through Territory and Chase Prairies. The next overnight stop is on Floyds Island in an old cabin, built in the 1920's. After eight miles through Floyds Prairie, Minnies Lake, and Billys Lake, the trail ends at Stephen Foster.
PURPLE TRAIL The Purple trail winds through Chase Prairie, leading to Round Top Shelter. This shelter gives a 360 degree view of the prairie. One of the best shelters to watch the night sky.
BLUE TRAIL The Blue Trail connects the Orange Trail to the Green Trail and Floyds Island as it travels along Chase Prairie.
